Today was another great day of fishing on the "Big-G. Through the next couple of months the fish will be turned on with very many patterns that will be effective from shallow flats to deep ledges. The fish will start getting more and more aggressive as warmer days approach and even with some of the colder ones there will still be some effective patterns that will produce the "Big Hawgs" that all fishermen are looking for on Lake Guntersville. The Rat-L-Trap bite will especially be effective during this time, and this is one lure that can be used in many different ways and also many different depths of water. Today was one of those days that many different patterns with the Trap was used, and all of them seemed to produce well. The big bite wasn't as aggressive today as the last few times that I've been out, but we were still able to connect with a few good-uns, and a couple of real nice good-uns that came unbuttoned at the boat. The deep grass is still the most consistent right now and will stay that way for a while. Get out and enjoy it while it's here. Have fun, Mike Carter
