The lake has came up about 12 feet from where is was and a lot of debris is floating in places. The water is slowly dropping and the debris is getting better also. The fishing has been good for most species.
The walleye are biting pretty good on the main lake flats trolling crank baits that dive 12 to 20 ft fished close to the bottom.
The night time bass fishing bite is also in full swing with whatever technique you have confidence in. Worms or hair jigs fished close to cover is most common.
The striper fishing is about as good as it gets as long as you have good bait. Alewife herring is the bait of choice. We are fishing with planer boards from 20 to 50 feet deep on the main lake. The schools are getting bigger in the area around the dam to beaver creek. Every day it seems like more fish are coming down the lake searching for the bait rich cold water. The fishing should remain good for 2 more months.
Good luck and God Bless
