This week has been very cold, windy, and at times just down right miserable, but the fish didn't seem to mind at all. I've had some great trips this week even with the conditions that we had to endure, which was well worth it. The pattern of catching fish consistently is still in the 8-10 ft. depth range with a mixture of Hydrilla and Eel grass. Today however I had an early trip with a gentleman from Tennessee that produced some good quality fish with the same pattern, but after the trip I got out by myself to check a few areas out and "Dang" at the amount and quality of fish in 2-3 ft. of water, even with today being as cold as it was. It goes to show that when they get ready to move up nothing will stop them, it's their clock and when it says it's time then they follow their instinct. The fish in the pic came from that 2-3 ft. water depth and there was some more good quality fish in the same kind of areas. I was able to get these fish on Choo Choo Lures swimjigs. Get out and enjoy it while it's here. Have fun, Mike Carter
