LAKE SINCLAIR IS FULL, 47 53 DEGREES, STAINED ACROSS MUCH OF THE LAKE,
Bass fishing is good despite the cooler weather we’ve had this week. A crank bait and a jig have been the best two baits to use over the past couple of weeks. The crank bait bite has been best in the morning and evening or when it stays overcast all day. A flat sided Spro Little John MD 50 in a chartreuse or craw color will produce fish on main lake and main river points that are near the river channel. Fish these crank baits as slowly as you possibly can making repetitive casts to rocks, stumps, docks, or laydown trees. Midday or on sunny days, skip a green pumpkin or black/blue Buckeye Mop Jig under protected main river or main creek docks. Shallower, 5 7ft deep docks that have brush and deep water close by will be best. A Buckeye Spot Remover shaky head fished around brush piles in 10 to 15 feet of water should produce some fish as well on tougher days. I’ll be at the Bassmaster Classic this weekend in Greenville, SC. Stop by and see me at the Reelsnot booth! I have a few guide trips available over the next couple of weeks. Give me a call to reserve your trip today! Make sure to stop by our new boat showroom and see our 2014 and 2015 inventory of new Tracker, Sun Tracker, Nitro, Tahoe, Regency and Mako boats.
