The sun is shining and it's 50 degrees. When I looked at the river this morning in Burkesville it was right at the top of the boat ramp. It's up pretty good. Has a real good clear green color.

All the rivers are backed up just right for the white bass to run. Haven't had a real good white run in years due to all the work they did on the dam. Last year, about the time for the white bass to run, they had stopped generating to fill the lake back up. This should be the first good normal spring run of white bass, sauger and walleye schooling fish that will go all the way up the river to the dam. Been about six years since the construction started.

Lots of good trout caught last year. We had one 18 pound 8 ounce brown caught that I know of and took a picture of. The guy is gonna mount it 'cause it was bleeding pretty bad. We had several rainbows over 24 inches. Should be an even better this year...looking like it was before any of the dam work.

Looks like the sterile trout they've been stocking the last couple of years is really starting to take hold. They were putting 15-17" rainbow's in and they're really growing fast from what I've seen. Should make for a lot bigger rainbows coming in this year.

All conditions are good now. Hopefully we are done with the snow and ice and all the wintertime crap. Just perfect for backwater fishing right now.

They're expecting upper 50's and 70's temperature for the next 10 days so we are hopefully gonna have a normal river again. Lookin forward to that!!!
