Today I had a couple of guys just wanting to fun fish, and fun we did have. I don't remember the last time that I laughed pretty much all day at two fishermen, so it made a tough day on the lake a little more relaxing. The fishing was a little slower than yesterday so we slowed down and started using jigs from Choo Choo Lures along the deeper grass lines, and even though the action was not constant it still produced some nice quality fish. We were able to catch a few fish on the 1 oz. Rat-L-Traps when we started but we just could not get a big bite so we decided to use jigs in the same areas and the quality got a little better at that point. We stayed in the same 8-10 ft. range along Eel Grass edges. With the water warming up the shallow bite with swim jigs and shakers will get turned on soon. Get out and have fun, Mike Carter
