    The lake is at 356.24
Water Temp is in the mid 50’S

Fishing has really been good; I have caught so many four to eight pound bass the past week. The fish have been moving but I’ve been able to stay on them. Right now you can catch fish in the creeks and on the main lake. The bigger fish have been on the main lake, they are on the ledges that have grass on top. They are hard to find but when you do there’s a school of them there. I have been using swim baits and A rigs to catch these fish. I always use ZOOMs Super swimming fluke with an Elite pro swim bait head, the A rig I custom make. I use a Cashion swim bait rod a 65lb test braid.

The fish in the creeks are on flats where I’ve seen shad present I am using a Root beer and Chartreuse Root beer Spro and a 2.5 Bag5 square bill. I’ve also caught them on a Rattling Bait Root beer and Root beer Chartreuse, also a red 2.5 square bill.
When the cold fronts pass thru the fish and bait will move back on the channel banks next to the flats. Then I will use the spro and fish it slower with a stop and go presentation. This is the same thing I did in the last BFL on Kentucky Lake.

Ledge and Electronics Class, on the water!

Learn and get confidence by catching fish on the ledges

If you’re new to Kentucky Lake or just haven’t been able to figure out how to fish the hundreds of miles of ledges that it has to offer. Then this class is for you. Fishing the ledges is something a lot of anglers struggle with. Understanding what ledges hold fish, when they hold fish and why they hold fish is something I can teach you. I will help you eliminate 90% of the lake in a short time. See what type of areas hold fish and how to find the bait.

Get on schools of fish and get them fired up! This is some of my favorite techniques on this amazing lake. Just give me a call or email me at
