LAKE GEORGE IS DOWN ONE FOOT, UPPER 60’S
Bass fishing is very good. Most of the bigger fish are taking lizards & spinnerbaits fished in the emerging grass near Cowikee Creek. Staying in those area's all day and working them over multiple times seemed to be the key. Reports came in the same way for Sunday, but the fish on the lower end seem to be filtering back out to shallow brush piles recouping from the spawn. With the ramps packed on the weekend, the mid week bite is strong. The major part of the spawn is winding down on the south end of the lake, and the north end appears to be still going strong. Plenty of vegetation is popping up and the fish are burying up in it. Spinnerbaits, buzz baits, followed by Texas Rigged lizard are working very well. Early mornings are the strongest bite, with slower approaches needed as the sun gets high.
