The white bass are here! They are catching the big females, 2-2 1/2 pounds...catching a whole lot of 'em in Maribone Creek and a few caught in Bear Creek and Runnix. They are making their way toward the ****. Little males being caught around town but the females are in Maribone. Next 3 weeks probably be the best white bass fishing of the year.

Been 4-5 big stripers caught in the back creeks too. 35 pounds is the biggest one I know of...also a couple of big 20 pounders. They are crusing the creeks too looking for stuff washing in on the banks and chasing the bait fish and little trout up the creeks and stuff.

Good trout too...still up in the creeks, the river is still up over the boat ramps in town.

Had a hard rain last night kinda muddied the creeks up. Just means go to the bottom for the bass with night crawlers and just bottom fishing mostly. Creek should clear up by the weekend. Supposed to be pretty the next few days.

Look for the creek fishing to be good for another 2-3 weeks with the female stripes and white bass moving up.

When the river comes down a little bit or if I hear of some good trout being caught, I'll let you know and give you a holler later on!
