I am so glad our Customers and we didn't listen to the weatherman last week. Early in the week, the forecast was for 50% to 80% chance of rain pretty much everyday! Well, we didn't listen and we had six of the BEST FISHING DAYS since last Spring! The White Bass turned on and the action was good each day. On a couple of days we limited out on White Bass in less than two hours and then did some Catfishing. We even caught a few Hybrid Stripers that topped off the trip on Friday with Dad and four year old Ella who caught fish on a 2' Tinkerbell Rod! We had to do some casting each morning as we caught about 90% of our fish on small plastic swim baits reeled quickly along the surface. We did manage to catch fish on Saturday on RSR Slabs ( www.rsrlures.com ) for the first time this Spring and I anticipate this bite getting better and better as we move into late Spring! The Whites appear to be slowly migrating out of the Creeks where they have been spawning to the Main Lake areas such as the 309 Flats, Old Hwy 287 Roadbed and Long Arm Branch Point. Fishing should only get better and better!
Adam and my April calendar is fully booked, but we still have a few Weekdays open in May. The Weekday openings are May 6,14,18,21,26,27 and 28. We do have one boat still open on Memorial Day (May 25th) if anyone wants a Holiday Trip. So sorry but we don't have a Saturday opening until July.
Here's hoping you can join us for an outing on Richland Chambers this Spring and enjoy a morning of fishing!
