The water is around 70 and clear on the south end of the lake. The corp has dropped the water back down some so debris is much better but u need to pay attention. The striper fishing has been a little slower but we have had a lot of really nice sized fish. We are thinking that the spawn is almost over and the best part of striper fishing on this end of the lake is yet to come. We have been pulling planer boards from surface to 30 ft deep.
We have also been bottom fishing sloping banks and points from 5 to 40 ft deep with good success. Channel catfish has been a good bonus those days we bottom fish.
I have not heard much crappie fisherman but they should be done spawning soon and should be from 5 to 20 ft deep close to cover.
The river has been down for about a week so for the way I like to fish close to dam makes it less than desirable. Saying that if u like to wade fish or fly fish the river should be perfect. It's gonna be a great summer on the lake come on down.
