Today was just "hillarious", especially when you pull into an area and the "first cast" that you make of the morning produces a solid 5 lbr. on a "Snag Proof Frog", you pretty well know that the morning is going to be an absolute "blast"! This is Weiss Lake at its best, the fish have spawned and are aggressive and they can be caught with numerous patters from shallow grass to flipping docks, and to deep ledges. We started out in the grass and had a great time with some good quality fish blowing up on our Frogs. We then went to some deeper ledges and started using Jigs and deep crankbaits and this pattern was producing some nice fish also that included one that hit my clients jig and decided to go back to the deep and take his jig with him. This was a slightly upsetting moment, but you can't always land them all, and when one like his breaks your line it makes the matter a little more harder to swallow. It was a short half day trip but "WOW" what a trip it was. Get out and have fun, Mike Carter
