WEISS LAKE IS FULL, STAINED, 70 DEGREES BY MARK COLLINS GUIDE SERVICE
Bass fishing is fair and most of the bass have spawned and started moving to the grass beds, shallow docks and sea walls. Jigs, worms and shallow running crank baits and spinner baits are catching a lot of fish.
Striper fishing is poor and they are still up the rivers on their spawning run, look for them to start moving back to the lake over the next few weeks.
Crappie fishing is fair and most crappie have moved to deep brush and cover on the old river channel ledges 8 to 14 feet deep. Spider rigging with live minnows is the way to catch these post spawn crappie.
