We fished everyday this past week and experienced the "Highs and Lows" that June Fishing can throw your way! As we exit Spring and begin the Summer Fishing Season, the bite goes from an All Day aggressive bite to a sometimes very humbling slow bite. We had EASY limits of large White Bass and a few Hybrid Stripers on Monday and Tuesday. But we then experienced a hard to find and slow bite the remainder of the week. Thursday's trip was a good example of what can occur if you have the patience and time to find the fish. Two customers and I had 13 fish in the box after three hours of fishing and then the bite turned on and we had our limit of 50 fish by 11AM. The other end of the spectrum is that on Friday I had my worst trip of the past year with only 4 fish to show for five hours of fishing! Adam and I ended the week on Saturday with a two boat 82 fish catch!

If you're going to fish for the White Bass, we recommend you look up the Creek Arms of the Lake and fish the Main Lake Points and shallow water. A Thermocline has set in on the Main Lake and the fish are hard to find and catch. You will need to be fishing in depths of 15' or less. This is a sometimes difficult time to catch fish, but they still have to eat and the challenge is finding them.
