  • I have been fortunate enough to make a life long past time into a livelihood. I am on the water every chance I get to try and stay keyed in on the almighty striper and to ensure limits of fish for each and everyone of my customers. However, the occasional tough days do happen, it is fishing, I give my word that I will do everything in my power to ensure that you and yours catch fish!

  • Lake Cumberland Striper Fishing Report

Fishing has remained very good most days as some are better than others. Some small amounts of surface activity are happening each morning and I have seem some of the larger schools coming up midday in the dead heat and sun as well. Quite a few single, twos and threes are rolling around quickly close to the shallower rock walls. I haven't seen anything to really speak of or get exited about but if your close enough to a few that boil you can defitnely hook a few up. Most of what Ive seen coming up is smaller fish. The open water main lake fish Ive seen have been cruising the big water anywhere from 40-80 feet deep and are nearly impossible to stay on like always. Im seeing some nice sized schools of fish tight packed in 50-60 feet of water mostly. Really there isn't a certain area weather it be points or the flats or the creeks that seem to be better than the next area. They are literally everywhere right now. Planers and downrods are catching most of my fish but today we fished an afternoon trip after the morning trip and got bit pretty good on the bottom as well. Weve had 5 fish in the last two days that have been 35-38" which is nice to see as well. Im not going to sit here and lie to everyone and say the big fish are back and were catching 30 pounders everyday but it is nice to see so many fish in the 14-20 pound range which are nice fish by my standards. In my opinion, which doesn't amount to a lot, Cumberland is on the way back up! Everything in the lake that has a tail and swims is thriving with the water back up. The stripers are growing and looking great! The crappie fishing has been awesome with tons of 12-15" huge slabs being caught this year. Smallies and largemouth are plentiful and healthy as well. And I think there's more bait in the lake than there's ever been. Feel free to call anytime for a more up to date report. Jared
