    Inshore Bite

The inshore bite continues to be good one day and better the next. The thing that an inshore fisherman can hold on too is the fact that if one type of fish doesn’t bite there are plenty of options..

Spotted sea trout love shrimp but also after bite is prompted you can changed up to artificial shrimps patterns…top water plugs, soft plastic screw/paddle/fluke tail rigged on red/black/white/lead colored jig head…

We are back to the lighter the tackle the better the bite time of the year. The reason being is that if there is even one hint that your bait doesn’t look fishy enough a spotted sea trout with its great sight feeding abilities will more likely quickly turn away.

Captain Matt Williams of Miss Judy Charters took the Anderson group on a spotted sea trout catching affair!

This motley fishing team fished with Captain Matt Williams! And it looks like it became a spotted sea trout flounder catching kind of a day!

It a casting, soaking, and waiting for a bite time of the year!

The old flat fish that sees like a rabbit is cunning as a fox, and strikes like a cobra. Flounder like to eat just about anything that gets their attention. I call this down and dirty time of the year. Put your bait on the bottom whether it’s live or not and let the fish come to you. Your best plan of attack is to re-situate your bait every few minutes. I suggest casting as far away from the boat as possible, then just letting your bait sit, and soak. Soaking in this case means the scent is going to be carried by the current, which in turn gets the fish down current right to your bait. However, after a few minutes and you haven’t had any luck I suggest reeling your bait in a few feet…and then repeating the waiting/soaking process again. Once you have retrieved most of your line back to the boat, reel in, and move a couple of degree to the left or right, and cast your bait again.

Red Fish Catching Bonanza by Captain Kevin Rose

Red fish also are grand lovers of shrimp. However, this big shoulder fish especially during hot times loves to key on cold water bait. This boils down to the old standby mud minnow. So I suggest adding this bait to your live well clan. All red fish shown below were caught while fishing with Captain Kevin while using his personal cold water hot times bait!
