Despite the "extreme" windy conditions, yesterday turned out to be a pretty decent day of fishing on the "Big-G". We got started at noon with swimming a Choo Choo Lures jig along deep grass areas, but the wind made it very tough to feel the fish when they would hit. We did however connect on a few solid quality fish and also lost some good fish, but that's always a part of jig fishing in strong winds. Later that evening we went to using the "Bull Shad" swimbait, and even this bite was a little slow but we did get a couple to cooperate and show my client for his first time what it's like for a good-un to engulf this bait. The strong winds my our day tough but we still came through and caught some nice fish and that made fighting the wind all afternoon well worth it. Get out and have fun. Mike Carter
