Lake Cumberland fishing report for July 21,2015. The water is higher than I can ever remember in July but somehow fishing has realized very good. The surface temp is in mid 80's and high with a lot of debris floating. The striper fishing has been great all summer with fish being caught on alewife herring fishing from 20 to 60 ft deep. The most common depth this week has been 40 ft. We are finding really nice schools with multiple line hook ups which is very exciting and fills the cooler in a hurry. It's a great time to take kids fishing do to the action. We have been fishing mid creek to the main lake.
Most of other fishing has been productive also. It's very interesting getting up in hollows and look down to see trees 15 to 30 ft deep. This will make pan fishing very good in the near future.
Good luck and God bless.
