LAKE GEORGE IS FULL, CLEAR & HIGH 80’S

Bass fishing is fair. The grass bite has been slow. Shallow grass early along with shallow river ledges during the day with a small buzz bait. The bite has been day to day so be prepared to move a lot to find the fish and stay cool. Some top water action has been good early, but it's about as reliable as the ledge bite. The crank bait bite has been poor at best and with all the bait running around it is too easy for the fish to find plenty to eat. Run the Fish Head Spin or the Dude with a small Zoom Fluke trailer on 1 0 pound test line and bump the bottom with these baits. Working the Texas rigs in shallow cover ranging from 5 to 10 feet has been the best tactic and if you don't dead stick the worm in the tree for a minute or so they won't touch it.
