I had a couple of trips yesterday on the "Big-G". The first one was an all day trip that the gentleman that I took out was just wanting to strictly use deep crankbaits to learn how to find and pattern these fish. The extreme high winds that were blowing made fishing most of these areas very tough. We still however were able to get a few good quality fish on 6XD's, even when the waves would splash over the deck of the boat and the trolling motor spending most of the time in the air. We focused on main lake areas around deep ditches and humps and had no problem locating plenty of fish but being able to keep the boat where it needed to be and casting into the hard wind gave us just a tiny little bit of a "PROBLEM"!! The 2nd trip consisted of fishing at night with big Choo Choo Lures spinnerbaits around deep grass lines. We were able to get on some nice fish for the first couple of hours, but after the "Blue Moon" lit up the sky the fish in these areas shut down. We fished from 7-11 and got to experience a great time with some nice fish "slamming" our spinnerbaits for a short time, but "WOW" what a short time it was. Get out and have fun. Mike Carter
