The Summer has heated up, the Blue Full Moon appeared and the White Bass took a week off! So...Adam and I did what every good Fishing Guide should do and that is find a fish that WOULD BITE! The Catfish on RC just never seem to stop biting and this past week was no exception. We fished everyday except for one and we had a BOXFULL of Eater Size Blue Cats each and every trip! We've been making a 15 minute trip up the Richland Creek Arm of the Lake and fishing in timber in an area where the Creek Channel drops off to about a 25 foot water depth. We're fishing with Danny Kings Punch Bait on a # 4 treble hook and catching well over a 100 fish each outing. Many are small Blue Cats we release, but on average we cleaned a box of 50 fish on each of our trips.

Saturday was an exception in two ways! Number One is that we cleaned 142 fish for our two Groups and Number Two is that a couple of really BIG FISH were caught! Young Dillon Oliver caught a 40 lb. Blue Cat on his trip with Adam and Marian Comeaux caught a 15 lb. Blue that is now the honored guest at a Fish Fry. Dillon's fish was in the Blue Cat Slot (30" to 45") and had to be released. What a GREAT WEEK as we had Old Friends, New Customers, Kids, Grand Parents, and Moms and Dads on board to enjoy a pleasant morning of Catchin' every outing!
