    The lake is at 356.30
Water Temp is in the 80

Had another good week on Kentucky Lake, The lake level is slowly dropping which is creating more mats in the grass. I have been finding some schooling fish in the grass and catching them on top water, gun fish and other walking baits. The morning bite is still really good if you have an area where you have fish, Top water again and a white spinnerbait has been the best.

I am finding fish in the backs of the creeks and main lake grass. Some days a buzz bait has out produced the gun fish, I don’t know why but you will need to throw both to see which lure is working for that day.
The fish are in schools for the most part and they aren’t easy to find just because they can be in the creeks or on main lake flats. That leaves a huge area to cover. The best clues I can tell you are look for the bait and keep your eyes open for any fish that may be schooling. The schooling fish are in short burst but at least they will give away their location.

The grass is awesome this year and the fall bite will be too, I’m catching 20 to 30 a day now so I know when the water temps start to fall it’s going to be awesome.
Make sure to contact me to book your fall fishing trip, from now till December.

Ledge and Electronics Class, on the water!
Learn and get confidence by catching fish on the ledges
If you’re new to Kentucky Lake or just haven’t been able to figure out how to fish the hundreds of miles of ledges that it has to offer. Then this class is for you. Fishing the ledges is something a lot of anglers struggle with. Understanding what ledges hold fish, when they hold fish and why they hold fish is something I can teach you. I will help you eliminate 90% of the lake in a short time. See what type of areas hold fish and how to find the bait.
Get on schools of fish and get them fired up! This is some of my favorite techniques on this amazing lake. Just give me a call or email me at
