WEST POINT LAKE IS DOWN 2.4 FEET, CLEAR & HIGH 70’S

Bass fishing is fair and there are several patterns going on. Up lake and in the backs of creeks the top water bite is hot. Use the Sizmic Toads, Pop R's, Zara Spook Jr.s and pearl Zoom Super Flukes. Look for areas with grass and floating debris from the storms. There have been some good fish in the 5 to 9 feet of water around brush piles and blow downs. Jigs should be the first bait of choice but a shakey head would be a great alternative. Spots are being caught on plastics around the bridges and docks lakeside but we haven't seen any good size fish. If you are fishing the tournament this weekend, focus on your big fish area's first because fishing will slow down with all the boat traffic on the lake.
