  • Richland Chambers Fishing Report - TX

Even though fishing can sometimes be a little tougher in September, it's grown to be one of my favorite months! The pace slows from the hectic six day workweek experienced March thru August and the early Fall Cool Fronts make for a very enjoyable morning. I too get to slow down, fish three or four trips a week and thus enjoy the trips even more. (I know many of you will laugh at the idea of fishing being work and being tough, but as the old saying goes "Too much of a good thing can sometimes be bad"!) I also know many of you have also heard me say "I haven't worked a day in over 15 years of Guiding" and that's the truth as I get to do what I love for a living and it's never turned into a job!

Last week was really enjoyable as I fished only three days, caught lots of fish each outing and had a SPECIAL GROUP on Tuesday as my Home Schooled Grandboys and their Dad joined me for a morning of Catchin'! (See Picture) We started with the White Bass and put about 30 fish in the Ice Chest using RSR Slabs and catching fish off the Windsock Point, and then moved to Catfish and caught TONS of fish and kept another dozen for the Fish Fry. Our Catfish came off Main Lake Points on Danny Kings Punch Bait on a #4 treble hook.

Fishing will only get better and better as Fall arrives! If any of the above sounds enticing to you, give us a call and we'll get you on the calendar. We have plenty of Weekday openings in September and even a couple of Saturday openings in October.
