WEISS LAKE IS AT 0 Feet 10 Inches BELOW FULL POOL AND CLEAR AND 74-76 DEGREE'S
Bass fishing is Good with the cooling trend, and a lot of fish are starting to be caught shallow in 3-6 feet of water. Shallow running crank baits are working well, the top water bite is good early and late also.
Crappie fishing is Good and they are being caught on structure on the river channel ledges in 10-16 feet of water. Spider Rigging with live minnows over cover in 10-16 feet of water is producing some good fishing.
Striper fishing Fair and they are being caught in the main lake on the old river channel ledges and in Little River and the lower Chattooga River, on live Shad down lined 8-12 feet and on flat lines.
Catfish are biting good in the deeper flats of the lake on cut bait.
The New Annual Weiss Lake Fish Habitat Enhancement Program was completed on Weiss Lake on July 29th and 30
