WEISS LAKE IS DOWN 1.4 FEET, CLEAR, 74 76 DEGREES

Bass fishing is good with the cooling trend, and a lot of fish are starting to be caught shallow in 3 to 6 feet of water. Shallow running crank baits are working well, the top water bite is good early and late also.

Striper fishing is fair and they are being caught in the main lake on the old river channel ledges and in Little River and the lower Chattooga River, on live Shad down lined 8 to 12 feet and on flat lines.

Crappie fishing is good and they are being caught on structure on the river channel ledges in 10 to 16 feet of water. Spider rigging with live minnows over cover in 10-16 feet of water is producing some good fishing.
