LAKE SINCLAIR IS DOWN 1.1 FEET, HIGH 70’S, STAINED UP RIVER, MAIN LAKE CLEAR

Bass fishing is fair. Bass are roaming the shallows early and hitting top water baits. On some days, especially with a cloud cover, bass will hit on top much of the day. The key is to cover water fast hunting for aggressive fish. Recently, buzz baits have been the best. Have at least two rods rigged with different buzz baits. Try a ¼ or 3/8 ounce white with a nickel or white blade. Also try a 3/8 or ½ ounce black buzz bait with black or copper blade. This second bait can be especially good with a dark sky or rain. Fish the baits on flatter banks in coves around any kind of cover. Dock posts, stumps, blow downs, grass or rocks can all hold fish. Don’t forget that on a given day, other top water baits can be better than buzz baits. Also try a Pop R, weightless trick worm, Zara Spook or Super Spook Jr. Carolina rigs and crank baits are working on the main lake points and flats. During power generation, these fish are aggressive. Fish faster during current and hit more spots. Look for the drop offs with cover on the sides of these structures. This is where they normally hold, although at times they can be on the top or crown.
