  • Dale Hollow Dave's Report

I'll start off with an apology for the lack of reports of late. I've been fishing all the time and between that and family it's been hard to find a free moment. On to the report.
The lake is steadily falling and is starting to cool with the late summer patterns still in full swing. Surface temps are around 76, its 70 at 25 ft and 67 at 32 ft. Daytime smallie and largemouth fishing couldn't be better with most fish sporting a spawn like girth. These are the healthiest fish I've seen in more than a decade.
Walleye fishing by day has also been good but they have started moving out already with some still in tight.
Trout fishing has really picked up this year with most fish averaging 18 inches but several in the 4 to 8lb class being taken.
Blue gill and shell cracker fishing has been good by day as well as crappie fishing by night under lights.
Muskie fishing has been slow which is normal for this time of year but should pick up in about a month when they move into fall patterns. For more info contact http://dalehollowdave.com
