  • Richland Chambers Fishing Report - TX

It doesn't get much better than a crisp, cool fall Fall Morning on the Lake! About the only couple of things that can make it better is a beautiful Sunrise and a box full of fish! Both were accomplished on a recent trip as we left the boat dock at Fisherman's Point Marina and viewed about as beautiful a Sunrise as I've seen in years, and then managed to catch a limit of Channel Catfish, a big ol' Flathead Catfish and a few White Bass to top off the box. Rod Nugent (Regular Customer of Ours for years) and I had an enjoyable and quiet day as we may have seen three other boats the entire day! It's like that on RC this time of year with hardly anyone on the Lake except Gone Fishin' and our Customers!

We're catching the Channel Catfish in water depths of 20' or less around timber and drop-offs in the Richland Creek area of the Lake. Danny Kings Blood Punch Bait on a #4 Treble Hook will get you a box of "Eater" size fish most mornings! Some fishermen are catching larger Blue Catfish using Shad or Cut Bait on the Main Lake in deeper water and drift fishing. There's been some reports of Crappie being caught on Brushpiles and around Bridge Columns on minnows. And lastly, the White Bass and Hybrid Stripers have been "hit and miss" on the Main Lake Points and area such as the Windsock Point and Pelican Island. The fish are never in the same locations more than a day at a time and difficult to stay on when you do find them!

Adam and I have some October & November dates we need to fill on the calendar. If you'd like to get away for a day, enjoy the BEST Season of the Year and catch a box full of fish, give us a call or email and We'll Go Catchin'!
