LAKE SINCLAIR IS FULL, 89 DEGREES AND STAINED, BY MATT HENRY, CALL 770 361 4210 (cell) or 478 451 0167 (SINCLAIR MARINA)
Bass fishing has been fair the past week. The top water bite seemed to slow down this week from past weeks. Some of my clients still caught some top water fish, but numbers were down overall. The few top water bites we did get were worth it as they were very good quality. The best baits this week for top water action have been the Bass Hound Crank baits Main Event Prop Bait made by Kip Carter and a Zell Pop popper. Fish these baits around main lake points and short pockets. The most consistent bite this week has been soft plastics on docks and brush piles. The water temperature is heating up and the fish are getting deeper as they are hunting shade and cooler water. Big worms such as the Zoom Ol’ Monster in green pumpkin or June bug colors have been getting some good bites in the deeper brush piles off the main river channel up the Little River. If you are just looking to get some bites, the Buckeye Spot Remover has been the ticket for getting numbers of fish in the boat. This stand up jig head paired with a Zoom Trick Worm is hard to beat right now. Call Matt Henry to book a guided fishing trip this summer out of Sinclair Marina.
