The fishing has turned on in South Florida now that our predators have caught up with the baitfish schools. Just in time for me to get back into the action having spent six days out in SanFranciso with my family and friends. Big schools of mullet of all different sizes plus schools of glass minnows, Spanish sardines, threadfin herring, pilchards and ballyhoo are being trashed by hungry dolphins, small sailfish, Spanish mackerel, jack crevalles, large sharks, bonitos, blackfin tuna, king mackerel in depths from 30 feet out to 200 feet offshore and then along the beaches Spanish mackerel, jack crevalles, large ladyfish, sharks, pompano, snook and tarpon are feeding amongst the mullet schools.

In our bays Spanish mackerel, bluefish, juvenile kingfish, jacks, ladyfish, sea trout, snook, tarpon sharks, barracudas, snapper and grouper are feeding on the bay baitfish schools.

In Flamingo tarpon, snook, redfish, sharks, sheepshead, Spanish mackerel and sea trout are waiting to bend our rods.

It’s all happening now and will continue to happen through November and into the New Year.
