I had a cancelation today because of the weather, and since the weather was going to be bad I knew it would be a great day to catch some "Big-G Slabs". I got out by muself for a few hours, then later had my wife to join me, but by the time she got there the north wind started blowing and we called it an early afternoon. Today was one of those days that the Crappie had decided to cooperate and the bigger ones started feeding, and this made a cold rainy day an absolute fun day. These fish were still mainly staying in the 8-12 ft. range and there were not many bites in each area we stopped, but these areas did produce some nice quality fish and better numbers than the last couple of trips, especially for the short time we spent out on the water. They're getting started so get out and enjoy some great Guntersville Lake Crappie fishing while it's here. Have fun, Mike Carter
