Wave after wave of large female Bass are moving into the shallow water littoral zones to feed heavily as they move into a pre-spawn mode. As the season progresses we will see more and more bass cycle into the shallow water to prepare for the spawn. Each full moon phase of the winter right on thru Spring will see a number of bass spawn. Okeechobee is unique in that we will have numbers of bass spawning on each and every moon phase throughout the winter and spring months, making Lake Okeechobee a most productive and rewarding fishery.
