Yesterday I got out with a Gentleman that wanted to get his 2 young men/sons on some Guntersville Crappie. I was proud of how these young guys handled the cold, constant north wind and the slow bite from the "slabs". We were able to catch several numbers but the size just wasn't there like normal. "BUT", these guys did put a few in the boat that would be considered "slabs", like the one in the pic. The water level has really come down and the surface temps are in the upper 40's. We were able to see a lot of Crappie on down image schooled up a little deeper than normal, but this goes along with the temps getting colder. My hats off to these young gentlemen for enduring a very cold day of Crappie fishing on the "Big-G". Get out and have fun. Mike Carter
