LAKE HARTWELL IS DOWN 1.3 FEET HIGH 40’S

Bass fishing is slow and the water is still cold. Shad are on the move out to the cleaner water and the bass are following. Try a small Shad Head Spin and add a small Zoom white ice Zoom Fluke as the trailer. Crank baits can work especially in the off colored water. Swim baits, jerk baits and small spinner baits may not start working for several days until we get a warm up. Fish the main river points and fish all the small cuts and bowls along the way. Do nothing clay banks are excellent places to fish active baits after mid day. Keep the trolling motor on slow and don't let up. Covering a vast amount of water will be the key.
