I have been fortunate enough to make a life long past time into a livelihood. I am on the water every chance I get to try and stay keyed in on the almighty striper and to ensure limits of fish for each and everyone of my customers. However, the occasional tough days do happen, it is fishing, I give my word that I will do everything in my power to ensure that you and yours catch fish!
Well don't know about you guys but I hope winter is just about over with March closing in. I've had enough of the snow. The striper bite recently has been pretty darn good up here. With all the rain, muddy water, quickly rising water levels and constant cold fronts it has seemed everyday has been different and there hasn't really been a consistent pattern to the fish. But with a little patience it seems the bite is getting stronger and the fish are looking great. This week the better bite for me has been on planers with 1/2 - 1oz. Weights fished close to the board. Now that the water has faired up some bait has returned to normal as well. Bright sunny days with little wind the fish are coming up very close to the surface as cloudy windy days they're going deeper into the 25-35 ft range and suspending in open water around mid creek. Surface temps up here have risen to anywhere from 46 to 49 degrees. The warmest slightly stained water seems to be holding most fish for me. Spring can't get here soon enough. Good luck and good fishing guys!
