March is the start of Spring on Lake Okeechobee, the lake comes alive with fishing energy! The water is warm the days are gorgeous and the Bass fishing is the best found anywhere. We continue to put big Trophy size Bass in the boat day after day and our customers love us for it! Bass, Bluegill and Shellcracker can all be found in March on Okeechobee, look for the fishing to get red hot around the moon phases as the pan fish move toward their spawning areas during the new moon and full moon phases. Many of our trips this time of year revolve around variety, meaning we catch big Bass in the morning on shiners, and then either use artificial baits to catch large numbers of bass or pick up our pan fish rods and load the boat with hard fighting and great eating blue gill and or shell cracker.
