Striper bite this week was still good but the fish seemed to go from feeding heavy all day to only a good morning bite for me this week. Surface temps have varied from 46 to 49 degrees and water clarity on the east end is drastically improving. The upper 1/3 of the creeks looks great and the main lake is making a pleasant change for the better as well. Alewifes at the docks have been plentiful almost everyday with lots of big baits. Bigger baits have definitely been catching better sized fish for me for the last few weeks. Thank goodness spring is right around the corner and looking at the extended forecast for next week it's going to be in the 60's and 70's which will be a nice change of pace. I am still catching most of my fish and better size too in open water. Not seeing or catching much close to the banks. Areas in the upper half's of the major creeks close to the river channel seem to be holding alot of suspended stripes right now. Things are really lining up too be a great spring and I can't wait!
