What a couple of beautiful Spring Days we had last week as Friday and Saturday were just about AS GOOD AS IT GETS!!! I didn't have a trip scheduled on Friday so I did a little scouting for the White Bass, baited a few Catfish Holes for Saturday's Trip and enjoyed the 75 degree day on Richland Chambers. Once again, I found just a few White Bass, heard a couple of rumors of a Crappie or two being caught in the Marina Coves, and caught enough Catfish for my Fish Supper. The Lake is at Full Pool Level, Water Temperature is in the high 50's and everything is set for a Great Spring of Fishing and Catching!
Saturday's Trip with the Carroum Family from Richardson (Mom, Dad and Twins Evelyn and Grace) was so much FUN as the Family caught a nice box of Catfish and at last report was having a Fish Fry on Saturday Evening. (See Pic) We'll continue to focus on Catfish until the Whites and Hybrids finish their spawn and make their move to the Main Lake. We're finding the Catfish are moving to Main Lake Points & Humps, and timbered Creek Drop Offs in depths around 20'. Danny King's Punch Bait or Fresh Shad fished on the bottom will usually result in a box of fish!
We still have a couple of openings on Spring Break Week and even a boat open on March Saturdays if you want to enjoy a day on the Lake. Give us a call and Let's Go Fishin'!
