    Inshore:
It's just another windy week in paradise! As we continue to transition out of winter patterns, the usual windy days have held a good grip on the Treasure Coast. It has been difficult to fish, but the fishing has remained good when you can tolerate the gusty conditions. March has certainly roared like a lion this year! Expect more of the same the rest of the month to challenge anglers in the area.

Jack with a nice sea trout caught on the grass flats of Fort Pierce this week while treating Taylor to a morning on the river.

Fort Pierce has been a busy place as many anglers from the Stuart area have been filtering up to the north to get away from the polluted waters of the Saint Lucie River. Follow the many sites on Facebook to keep abreast of the issues and how to get involved in being a part of the solution. It's sad what is going on with the waters being drained from Lake Okeechobee and how it affects there and the domino effect all around us. Let your politicians know how you feel about the situation!

Taylor also caught his trout on the grass flats of Fort Pierce.

Fishing around Fort Pierce has been good for lots of fish species. Sheepshead, snapper, croakers and trout have all been a good bite this month. Dave and Cody were out on a cloudy day and caught trout on the grass flats and sheepshead in the channel to make for a fun day before the winds hit us. Will and Jean finished up their fishing adventure this year with trout and sheepshead to end a very productive fishing vacation for them. Bob and the baseball coaches from Pennsylvania were back again this year. Bob and Mike caught a variety of fish in spite of very windy conditions. They ended the day catching jacks around the turning basin while trying to stay out of the winds. It was another fun but breezy week on the water!

As always, remember, fishing is not just another hobby....it's an ADVENTURE!!
    Good Fishing and Be Safe,
    Captain Charlie Conner
