LAKE RUSSELL IS .87 FEET OVER FULL & 80 DEGREES
Bass fishing has been only fair this past week with the best action coming early in the morning. A slight breeze blows across the lake from time to time and this can work to your advantage. Weightless flukes along with X-Raps will work really well in this situation. Some anglers are still catching a few bass in the stump rolls and up in the creeks. The bass aren't very aggressive, so a slow presentation will be necessary. The fish are not bunched up so keep moving and keep those hooks wet. Continue fishing the humps out on the main lake with DT10 and the DT16 during the morning hours and then use a Carolina rig during the hot periods. Baby Brush Hogs on the Carolina Rig will work.
