Despite all the recent cold fronts, severe wind and rain the bite has remained steady up here. The big schools are moving daily and hard to stay on. Haven't been in the same location twice to speak of. I have been fishing the upper 1/3 of the major creeks pulling planers 15-30 feet deep. Shallower water the bigger fish are really hugging the bottom and bottom fishing is working well alot of days when the wind is too bad to pull boards. I'm not getting more than a couple a days out of a "hotspot" right now which leads to hunting every several days. Harvesting big alewifes is still a chore every day but on a positive gizzards have been easy to get in 20-25 feet of water in the heads of the creeks. Keep up with recent catches on my Facebook page Cumberland striper charters.com. I really want to say thank you to the tons of people I have met this year off this forum who simply come up to me and tell me how much they read my reports. Fishing for a living is a blessing. If you see me out, gimme a holler and we'll talk fishing! Good luck and good fishing to everyone.
