LAKE OCONEE IS FULL, 82 TO 88 DEGREES

Bass fishing is fair. The lake is full, stained up the rivers clear on the main lake. Buzz baits on sea walls and around deep water docks on the main lake at first light or the last hour of day light. Target the humps on the south end of the lake with a large crank bait. A DD22 worked from the top of the hump down into the main lake channel. A Carolina rig fished in the same area will also produce. Also look for fish under deep water docks with a shaky head fished as far under the dock as possible.

Striper and hybrid fishing report by Mark Smith of Reel Time Guide Service. Phone 404-803-0741 or reeltime@bellsouth.net

Striper and hybrid fishing is poor. Some top water action early and late in the day. Use popping cork with a small trailer. Most of these fish are from the middle of the lake to the dam.

Crappie fishing report by Mark Smith of Reel Time Guide Service. Phone 404-803-0741 or reeltime@bellsouth.net

Crappie fishing is good. Use your Lowrance to locate the schools of fish in the timber. Most of the schools are showing up from the 44 bridge to the dam. Look for the fish in the timber from 5 to 20 ft. deep. Drop a minnow down to the school.
