  • Richland Chambers Fishing Report - TX

The White Bass fishing continued to improve this past week as I was on the Lake everyday and Adam managed to get in most of his trips. The strong South Wind did force us to reschedule a trip or two but that's normal in the Spring and we always try and work with our Customers and Mother Nature to allow the BEST trip possible! The larger White Bass are showing up in all the normal Spring locations (Pelican Island, 309 Flats, Hwy 287 Roadbed, and more) and are in the 10'-15' water depths. RSR Chartruese Slabs ( www.rsrlures.com ) is our bait of choice right now, but the next few weeks we'll begin using Sassy Shads and Rat-L-Traps as the fish chase the bait to the surface and the shorelines. The small Hybrid Stripers have made their appearance, but the larger Hybrids are yet to show up. It won't be long!

While we haven't conducted any Catfish or Crappie trips lately, the folks fishing for these fish report fair action on the Blue Cats and virtually no action on the Crappie. Guess it's going to be another late spawn for the Crappie as the continual Cool Fronts, Rain and different Weather patterns apparently have them confused.

Our calendar for April has completely filled up and we THANK our Customers for that! We do have quite a few May Weekday openings and even a boat still open on the Memorial Day Holiday Weekend. Give us a call and Let's Go Catchin'!
