  • Lake Cumberland Fishing Report - KY

Lake Cumberland fishing report for April 21,2016. The recent warm snap has the water temp in the mid 60's and clear. The fishing has been super good most days for stripers fishing with alewife herring on planet boards from surface to 30 ft. The main lake has warmed up enough that fish are very active and aggressive. Some very nice sized fish are showing up with big bellies. Bass fishing has been good also on the main lake with a lot of nice smallmouth and largemouth being caught. I've heard crappie fishing has been good also in creeks from the surface to 15 ft deep. My river fishing has slowed due to the generation schedule. The lake is fairly low for this time of year and they have not been generating enough water for boils to be as productive as normal.

    God bless
