LAKE ALLATOONA IS 1.43 FEET OVER FULL, CLEAR & 88 DEGREES

The Allatoona bass fishing report is from Matt Driver, www.proanglerradio.com

Fishing is much better with good numbers on the drop shot big bite shaky squirrel and even some good fish on the Flex It spoon and 15 feet deep seems to be the magic depth. Not sure what has happened but fish are more active this past week. The Spro dawg and a Zara Spook have been producing till around 8:30 or 9:00. Jig fishing has picked up but most fish are being caught between the brush and deeper water. www.5x3nation.com

Line side fishing is good. The river run is coming to and end. The stripers and hybrids are really starting to school up on the main lake points, flats and humps. This week my clients have caught very good numbers of both stripers and hybrids on a half day trip. Free lining and down lining shad has been the ticket for us this week. The fish are scattered all over the lake right now and can be caught almost anywhere. We have caught good numbers of fish in the mouth of Clark Creek and Tanyard Creek and Iron Hill this week. We have also done very well mid lake this week from the S turns to Bartow Carver beach. The key to catching these fish is to be on the water with lines out at or before sun up. Your best bite is going to come in the first hour of day break. These fish are on the move and are starting to school on top. Keep your eyes open for any breaking fish and have a white Zoom Super Fluke Jr ready. Trolling is really starting to pick up and is working best mid day. The umbrella rigs are working best right now over 30 foot bottom. We still have a few days open for May give me a call at 770 827-6282 for availability.
