So sorry for the short Fishing Reports the past few weeks, but we've been TOO BUSY CATCHING FISH to spend much time writing about it!!! The Spring is our busiest time of the year and the fish have been so cooperative that we truly just EAT, SLEEP AND FISH from March thru June. It doesn't get much better than it is now with beautiful days, mild temperatures and fish that are constantly hungry! We've been fortunate that the Weather Men have missed their rain forecasts most days and we have also just "worked around" a few T-Storms and still got our trips in. The fish don't mind a little rain as they are already wet!
The White Bass action is as good as it gets with limits (25 fish per fisherman) most days and then catch and release. We continue to catch most of the fish on 1oz. RSR Silver Slabs. ( www.rsrlures.com ) Check out the Pelican Island and Old Hwy 287 Roadbed for the most consistent activity. Crappie fishing is fair with a few reports of fish being caught around the 287 Bridge Columns. Blue Cats are being caught in shallow water on Shad on Windblown Points.
Looking ahead, we have no openings in May, but LOTS OF JUNE OPENINGS that we still have at least one boat open and they are June 8,9,10,11,13,14,18,20-24 & 27-29. It's none too early to plan that trip for when the Kiddos get out of school.
