Adam and I are truly blessed to be able to do what we love, with people that we like and in the best environment you can imagine! Being a Fishing Guide and living and working in East Texas is just about as good as it gets! That is until you experience a week like this past one where the two most critical components of being successful (and having fun) both come together at the same time. First and totally out of our control is the huge amount of rainfall the Lake area received between Tuesday and Saturday. Local reports of over 12 " were mentioned by many of the residents around the Marina. Second and pretty much out of our control was the component dreaded by all fishermen and that is BOAT TROUBLE. There's some truth to the old question of "What does B.O.A.T. stand for?" The answer is "Bring On Another Thousand" as in $'s! By the end of the week, my primary boat was in the shop and I'm taking the back up boat to the shop on Monday morning. Not to fear as I will hopefully be back on the water very quickly as the back up boat had a "new used" motor installed on it last week and just needs some tweaking out! In the mean time, Adam is still on the water and fishing hard!

We were able to get on the Lake on Tuesday and had one of those "AWESOME DAYS" as a three boat ten person Group from DFW caught their 250 fish limit of White Bass and a couple of nice Hybrid Stripers on a beautiful morning! On Wednesday I had a four person Family including the Dad, Papa and a couple of teenage Sons manage 90 Whites in about 2 hours and then the bottom dropped out of the Sky and we got WET on the boat ride in. We only needed about ten more minutes to limit out but the Storm potential was just too much! We cancelled Thursday and Friday and then Adam finished the week as he and David Bristow fished with a large Church Group from Covington where David preaches. Great news for the foreseeable future is that the rainy weather pattern is behind us and fishing is very good!

Adam and I have a couple of Weekday openings the last week of June and we just had a boat come open on Saturday, June 25th. Our July Calendar has LOTS of open Weekdays and even a few Saturdays. Give us a call and Let's Go Fishin'!
