Lake Cumberland fishing report for June 8 th 2016. The water temp is in upper 70's and water is super clear. The striper fishing was as tough as I have ever seen it in the month of May but things are getting better. The last week decent numbers of fish have been caught pulling planet boards at 10 to 40 feet deep. I have not heard of any schools but single fish have been caught anywhere from way up creeks to middle of the main lake. It's truly been a grind for us guides trying to keep people happy and not losing our minds wondering how to catch fish the last month. So hopefully things are getting better. Schools should start showing up on the main lake soon and early limits hopefully will be shortly behind. Bass fishing had been spotty also from most of my reports. Catfish on the other hand is in abundance with many being caught just about any method of fishing.
God bless
