LAKE RUSSELL IS FULL, CLEAR, 80’S

Bass fishing is good. On the upper lake, bass are biting spinner bait close to edge, some on the slow roll. Several larger ones caught on black trick worm. Spots hit the Zoom finesse worms in greens and pumpkinseed. Most of the fish seem to be at 8 to 14 feet deep down the lake. Fish were short striking the spinner bait and barely hitting. Be sure to use a trailer hook and slow roll the bait all the way back to the boat from 5 to 17 feet deep. The frog bite is fair at daylight but only lasts an hour. Be sure to work any windy bank and use the shad Sebile Swimmer with a slow retrieve.
